Tae Kwon-Do teacher takes on world

A student and teacher at Stoney Creek’s Lee Sukhi SUCCESS Martial Arts is competing in the Tae Kwon-Do world championships this week.
Born in Croatia, Dragan Mandic came to Canada as a blue belt at the age of 18. Mandic, 23 started training as a teenager in kickboxing but switched to Tae Kwon-Do.
In Canada, Mandic started training under Master Walter Zdeb 7th Degree Black Belt, who has developed many Canadian ITF Tae Kwon-Do champions.
Mandic adapted quickly and was soon winning tournaments, as a coloured belt.
In 2005, Mandic traveled to Australia where he worked and did some training.
Returning to Canada in 2006, he decided to focus on Tae Kwon-Do again and returned to Lee Sukhi SUCCESS Martial Arts to train under Master Zdeb.
